Eugene police have arrested four men in connection with at least three armed robberies in Eugene this year, targeting mostly out of state victims with the ruse of investing in the Lane County marijuana industry.
The first known robbery occurred in March, and two more occurred in August and September respectively. Eugene police believe there are other robberies and victims out there but because of the tie between the alleged crimes and drugs, victims may be afraid to come forward for fear of prosecution.
Property crimes detective Rick Lowe said he has no interest in prosecuting victims of armed robbery, but rather is hoping for the victims to come forward and help get violent robbers off the streets.
