AUSTIN, TX — The wife of Texas legend Willie Nelson is setting up to create her own string of hits — many, many hits, no doubt — but we’re not talking music here.
Annie Nelson, wife of award-winning music legend and marijuana advocate Willie Nelson, has debuted “Annie’s Edibles,” as accompaniment to the “Willie’s Reserve” cannabis stash its makers describe as “legendary” (we wouldn’t know as our minds need to be lucidly focused on breaking news, but no judgment). The first products in her line are artisan chocolates currently available at select retailers in the Washington area.
“Annie’s Infused Chocolates are handcrafted, infused chocolates made from carefully sourced ingredients,” a press release describes. “The chocolate comes from Fine & Raw Chocolate, who use consciously sourced ingredients and low-heat techniques to keep the chocolate’s raw vitality and flavor.”
But enough about the chocolate. This is part of what the Nelsons unabashedly describe as Willie’s “cannabis stash.” The chocolate is suffused with a proprietary, whole-plant cannabis extraction process “…that maintains the full spectrum of cannabinoids in low-dose confections.”
Again, we here at Patch wouldn’t know about such things. Let’s let Annie describe it:
“I make my infused chocolates for people who want to enjoy gourmet cannabis chocolate in a controllable way,” she explains. “It’s important that my chocolates are suitable for those with diet restrictions – whether someone is vegan, has Celiac Disease or gluten allergies, requires a low or balanced sweetener diet or if they have a low tolerance to cannabis
